The Gun Debate and the Hypocrisy Of Our Democracy

Another tragedy where innocent people, this time small school children, are victims of senseless violence.  Enter the gun control debate right on cue.  One side reacts with an argument that shootings could be prevented if there were no guns.  The other side reacts with arguments that we need more guns to protect ourselves.  Neither side is correct. Tragedies in which innocent people are murdered are horrible.  My deepest sympathies go out to the families and friends of any victims of violence the world over.  But can we truly stop these tragedies…

With all of the uncertainty surrounding who will emerge out of the jumbled GOP huddle of potential contenders and make a serious run for the White House in 2012 a new CNN national poll shows that former Arkansas Governor and 2008 Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has the support of two thirds of those polled as their GOP nominee for President in 2012.
