Palin Power Punishes Establishment Again

In an absolutely stunning development, little known state legislator, Deb Fischer, badly beat two GOP rivals in Nebraska’s primary yesterday. She will face Democrat Bob Kerrey in the general with a Senate seat up for grabs. A preliminary poll released by Democrats showed Fischer up by double digits over Kerrey. But that’s a story for later. In addition to Fischer, the Nebraska GOP primary included the state’s attorney general and establishment-backed Jon Bruning and conservative state treasurer, Don Stenberg, supported by Club for Growth and the Senate Conservative Fund. It…

Sarah Palin Endorses Newt Gingrich……to Keep the Race Going, Not for President

Sarah Palin Endorses Newt Gingrich……to Keep the Race Going, Not for President

During a Tuesday night Fox News interview,  Sarah Palin told South Carolinians that if she were voting in their primary this Saturday, she would cast her ballot for Newt Gingrich. [see the interview below this post] Technically, that is an endorsement, but it was qualified by her desire to see Newt win in South Carolina expressly for the purpose of seeing that Republicans continue to vet the candidates.  According to Palin; “More debates, more vetting of candidates because we know the mistake made in our country four years ago was having a candidate that was not vetted,…

Iowa Recap

Romney won, Bachmann quit, Santorum is rising, Paul is maintaining his status quo, Newt is struggling, Perry has faith, and Huntsman….who?  Iowa recapped: Mitt Romney Mitt Romney won in Iowa. Honestly?  No big deal. Romney will gain momentum from winning, but when people look at the numbers they will realize that if Michele Bachmann wasn’t in the race, Santorum would have won comfortably.  If Santorum wasn’t in the race, Newt and Perry probably would have both outpolled Romney.  In Iowa, he got his fiscal conservatives and the social conservatives split…

Is Cain Trying in Iowa?

Is Cain Trying in Iowa?

No, if you believe his now former Iowa director Tina Goff and Kevin Hall who was in charge of coordinating for the Iowa straw poll in just over a month.  Jim Zeiler has also left the Iowa staff and Cain lost his New Hampshire director earlier this week.  When it comes to managing a campaign, things are not looking good for Cain. On the other hand, Cain is looking good in the Iowa polls.  Most recently he came in second only to perpetual front runner Mitt Romney and remade Michelle…

Sarah Palin Fundraising and Confirming That She is Still Seriously Considering a Run for President

Sarah Palin Fundraising and Confirming That She is Still Seriously Considering a Run for President

I had been getting a little suspicious of the fact that for Sarah Palin has been conspicuously quiet and out of the spotlight this past month. Her drop from the headlines were beginning to make me suspect that she was getting ready to announce her candidacy for President. You see, I understand that Sarah Palin is unconventional. I also know that she likes to catch people, especially her opponents and those within the lamestream media, off guard. So I began to think that she was quietly readying herself to surprise…

Tim Pawlenty Could Stand To Gain While The Big Names Sit On The Sidelines

Tim Pawlenty Could Stand To Gain While The Big Names Sit On The Sidelines

The 1st GOP Presidential debate is in the books. There are those who feel it lacked the “Wow” factor that it would have had if the top polling candidates had taken part. With Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin all declining to attend, the field was filled with candidates whose names are not well known on a national scale. Texas congressman Ron Paul is probably the exception to that statement but his public persona and Libertarian views have never played well to most in the GOP. Of…

AP Gets Early Start on Nov 2nd, 2012 Headlines

AP Gets Early Start on Nov 2nd, 2012 Headlines

A Perfect GOP Candidate Is Hard To Find. Yes, that is the unbiased AP headline of a story published today by AP writer Phillip Elliot. Elliot then presents us with an expose on exactly why every potential Republican candidate in the 2012 primary season is unworthy of Republican votes. John Huntsman worked as an ambassador for Obama. Mitt Romney implemented Romneycare in Massachusetts. Newt Gingrich had two affairs and two failed marriages. Sarah Palin has had “countless impolitical moments”.                      …

Surprising Results in Evangelical Poll

Surprising Results in Evangelical Poll

The Barna Group is perhaps the most respected Christian Evangelical research group. That makes their recent poll findings particularly startling when it comes to who Christians might support in 2012. In a poll of Catholic and Protestant Christians, the candidates with the highest negatives were Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich. This is especially surprising considering the incredible support these two have put behind traditional family values. Newt’s unfavorable ratings in the mid 40′s very likely relate to his nagging marital infidelity issues from 16 years ago. While most political bases…
